Anne Hilb, Founder

Graymake partners with individuals, executives, managers, and teams to create inclusive, engaging experiences that help employees succeed and organizations thrive. As we explore the unexamined pains preventing your organization from achieving its best work, we uncover where things have gotten stuck, what needs might be unmet, and what’s already working.

With an MS in organization development from American University and more than a decade of applied work in conflict resolution, Graymake founder and lead consultant Anne Hilb is a scholar-practitioner who believes in opening space for difficult conversations. She works with leadership to build stronger teams, healthier cultures, and thriving organizations, supporting these shifts by asking thoughtful questions, offering insightful observations, and utilizing data to create space for change to occur.

A mediator for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and certified in Strategies for Trauma and Resilience (STAR), Anne is extensively trained in restorative justice and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work. Her goal in every interaction is to balance relationship-building with problem-solving that reaches agreement and a plan for moving forward.

“Anne Hilb and Graymake bring invaluable expertise to communities and projects. It is a pleasure to have a colleague so deeply invested in building relationships and knowledge for the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. I learned so much by having Anne support our team on a recent project. The final product was made infinitely better because she asked the right questions and helped frame the research.
